Associate Degree Nursing

Are you ready to take your LVN career to the next level as an RN? Do you want to be part of a program that offers you your training in state-of-the-art skills labs? Do you want to learn in virtual clinicals as well as the traditional on-site clinicals? Yes? Then the LVN to RN Career Bridge Program Program here at TSTC West Texas may be just right for you.

We teach a caring profession in a caring manner! That's the commitment of the TSTC West Texas Associate Degree Nursing Program to you. We know you may be juggling a job and a family, but that you still want to attend an ADN program. We understand, and we're creative and flexible so that we can meet your educational and training needs. Our goal is your success.

In the ADN Program, you'll learn to be a more holistic nurse, one who cares not only for the patient but also for the family. Your transition from LVN to RN means that you'll become a better planner and manager of patient care. A few of the courses you'll take include:

  • Introduction to Professional Nursing for Integrated Programs
  • Anatomy and Physiology II
  • Integrated Client Care Management
  • Integrated Care of the Client with Complex Health Care Needs
  • Lifespan Growth and Development

You'll participate in an active learning environment led by ADN faculty members who represent a wide variety of talent and experience in areas like Obstetrics (with a specialty in neonatal intensive care and the S.T.A.B.L.E. Program), Critical Care, Psychiatric Nursing, and Surgery. All of our instructors have a Medical-Surgical background.

As an RN, you'll be able to specialize -- you might choose Obstetrics, Emergency Room, Pediatrics, Intensive Care, or perhaps Quality Assurance or Case Management. Whatever you choose to do, you'll also be able to decide where to pursue your career. You know the choices are varied, but here are just a few:

  • Hospitals
  • Nursing Homes
  • Home Health Providers
  • Insurance Companies
  • Telemedicine

The job outlook for RNs is exceptional. Consider the ADN Program here at TSTC West Texas as your route to your career as an RN.
