Message from the Chief
On behalf of the officers of the TSTC West Texas Police Department and Office of Public Safety, I would like to welcome you to our website. I hope that this website will help you find answers to your questions and that you are able to learn more about our department and its services. We are still constructing our page and will be posting additional information regarding questions and services in the near future.
We are here to serve the members of the TSTC West Texas community and to provide a safe, secure environment for our students to be educated for service and leadership throughout the world.
All TSTC West Texas Police Officers are licensed and certified as Texas Peace Officers by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officers Standards and Education (TCLEOSE).They are official police officers with the same authority as municipal officers.In addition to TSTC West Texas Police, the Sweetwater Police Department and Nolan County Sheriff's Office cooperates with us on concurrent jurisdiction of the campus. TSTC West Texas Police provide twenty-four hour patrol of the campus and adjacent properties.TSTC West Texas Police have the responsibility and duty to enforce all local,state and federal laws.
In addition to patrolling the campus and adjacent TSTC West Texas properties,TSTC West Texas Police conduct criminal investigations of crimes occurringon campus. We are also happy to provide many other services to our community includingvehicle unlocks, motorist assists, and safety escorts after hours.
